I plugged the Italsteam into the electricity socket but nothing happened/ it gets a little hot but no steam are coming out?

  1. The Electrical Cable is not connected properly to the body of the Italsteam. Make sure you pushed the Electrical Cable tightly as shown in the Italsteam instructions page - Click here to view the video example
  2. The steam pressure is controlled by the amount of salt used. Make sure you put the right amount of salt - two heaping spoons of table salt(USA) while using the special Salt Measuring Spoon, as shown in the Italsteam instructions page - Click here to view the video example

  2. add more water only when the steam stops coming out (no water inside the Italsteam).

Do I need to constantly refill water? The steam stops too fast and I need to refill water all the time.

If you feel that the steam stops too quickly there is a step you can take: Place the steamer on its side and it will stop steaming immediately. Put it point up and it will start to steam again in seconds.

Do I need to add salt each time I add water?

No. You put the amount of salt only in the setup(first use of the day), and when the steam stops you add only water. After use, clean the Italsteam as shown in how to use the Italsteam - Click here to view the video example, and then on your next use, add the regular amount of salt again.

I have noticed that brown water coming out from the Italsteam while cleaning it. What is that phenomenon?

It’s a normal chemical reaction. the brown water are the result of the interaction between steaming water and salt.
